La torrefazione Mokarabia nasce nel 1950 a Milano con lobiettivo dichiarato di creare miscele di caffè di alta qualità da immettere nel mercato dei bar. In pochi anni lazienda si espande in tutto il territorio nazionale e nei anni 70 viene acquisita da Mario Zanetti.
Nel 2000 sorge la Mokarabia S.p.A dalla fusione del storico marchio milanese con la Caffè Roversi 1882 di Bologna e la Caffè Ruffo di Padova, aziende già facenti parte del gruppo guidato da Mario Zanetti. Lazienda acquisisce così una dimensione internazionale.
