Ravi Reddy, a teacher and agricultural engineer in Hyderabad, India, had always wanted to fly. But poor eyesight kept him out of the Indian Air Force and raising his family postponed, but never erased his dreams. At 49, with the help of family, friends and students from his school, he constructed the most improbable of flying machines - a lighter than air balloon made of string, packaging tape, a wicker lounge chair, and giant plastic balloons filled with discounted hydrogen. And on March 24, 2007, he launched himself on a two-hour adventure, reaching a height of 12,000 feet, achieving that most wonderful of all accomplishments - a dream fulfilled. He became India's first lighter than air balloon pilot. Filmmakers Sam Rider and Aishwarya Kancharla lived with Ravi and his family for four months and recorded the balloon saga. Not only the planning and execution of the flight but also the family turmoil that came with it.
