Michelle Pike - Australian Prints - Original Australian Artwork
Self taught and self promoted artist and illustrator, Michelle Pike originates from Western Australia - however now resides on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Although having travelled and studied extensively world-wide, her artwork is now best known for capturing the colour and animation of the Australian lifestyle, landscape and of course, humour. Michelle is the artist with a story – drawing from both her own childhood experiences and that currently being played out by her two sons, her paintings are an endless source of entertainment and amusement to their audience. Michelle states that there are never any deep, underlying messages attached to her art she simply sees herself as an ambassador to those appreciating the lighter side of life, promoting the feel-good factor behind a good chuckle for all! As such, her passion for vibrant colours and the naive style with which she illustrates, further compliments her light-hearted approach to the canvas.
