This article debunks several popular speed reading myths. Neither skimming nor photo-reading are any form of reading, and speed reading actually improves comprehension and reading pleasure. Furthermore, while set fixations make very good phrase recognitions exercises, they fail to assist comprehension or reading speed in practical reading activities because natural fixations are of variable length. The Access Code in the box is provided in graphics format. It has letters which are generated randomly and the symbol images are distorted. The distorted symbols cannot be read by computer programs which are used for mass-collect email addresses and any customer information.
