Mammograms depict most of the significant changes in breast disease. We present a computer aided diagnosis (CAD) intended for use as helping radiologists in their diagnosis. We use state of the art mathematical algorithms in order to detect and diagnose the images. First, the mammographic image is enhanced using an orientation space analysis based on a contourlet wavelet transform. Then a Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) network analysis based on the Bayesian Networks theory is computed, and the resulting image is classified in benign or malign. Performance results are presented.
