Description: The DC Cancer Consortium is a nonprofit association of more than 70 organizations dedicated to the reduction of cancer in the District of Columbia through prevention, improved treatment and research. Every day we work to reduce cancer incidence and mortality, reduce racial and ethnic disparities in cancer treatment, and improve the quality of life of cancer survivors. Our website which has detailed information about the DC Cancer Control Plan, 2005-2010, provides a roadmap to guide our efforts. This site is the District's premiere resource about cancer control and prevention in the nation's capital, offering information for people with cancer, caregivers, health care professionals and policy makers, as well as interested individuals who want to learn more about cancer in our community.
