Description: Our web-based Early Alert System is a robust tool for student intervention across campus. Faculty Alerts are automatically distributed to student success centers and programs. The data presentation helps advisors efficiently contact students and refer to student services and resources. Student retention is one of the most important issues facing higher education today. With one-third of college students dropping out of school each year, its a topic universities across the country have noticed, but few have found a workable solution to the problem. The Student Early Alert Retention System is a campus-wide web-based tool that focuses on retaining students. STEAR solicits input from faculty to alert advisors when students are struggling.
