Description: Dr. Diana Wehrell-Grabowski, science education consultant and keynote speaker is the author of FCAT Science site. Dr. Diana Wehrell-Grabowski provides hands-on science teacher training professional staff development throughout the entire state of Florida to teachers of all grade levels. Dr. Diana Wehrell-Grabowski has designed a series of hands-on science teacher workshops that are designed to strengthen the participants science content knowledge as well as introduce the teacher participants to effective teaching strategies for teaching science. Furthermore, Diana provides hands-on science workshops for families also known as Family Science. The Family Science workshops are generally two hours in length and are available during weekday evenings and Saturdays. During the workshops parents and children are introduced to a variety of science concepts through hands-on science explorations. Additionally, parenting workshops can be offered for parents only. All professional staff development, teacher and family science workshops are inquiry and standards-based.
