Description: Government Postgraduate College, Jind began its academic odyssey in pursuit of excellence on 16 July, 1960 as Public College, Jind. It came to acquire its present mantle and name exactly one year after its inception, i.e. on 17 July, 1961, when it was taken over by the State Government. Ardently engaged in the pious task of serving the academic interest of the students of this historically rich but educationally and socially backward region of Haryana, this college, with the passage of time, has carved out a niche for itself in the academic world.
