Description: GVB Holdings was established in 1995 by Werner van Brakel who is currently the only member of the company. Werner’s accounting support career started during 1994 in the support department of Pastel Software (Pty) Ltd. During his employment at Pastel, he was appointed as Partner Support Supervisor to manage and optimize the flow of work for Partner Support. Werner has always valued the importance of excellent service and support and it was to no surprise that not long after he started working at Pastel Software, he was awarded the “911, hello, do you have an emergency?” award for support excellence. Mr van Brakel has a firm knowledge of all Pastel Partner versions as far back as version one, two and three. He assisted in the testing of the first Windows version 4 of Pastel Partner. In 1995 he took up the challenge of forming his own company. 13 years later he is still as committed to service excellence as the day he received his award. He also expects no less from his employees and constantly reminds them of the importance of being one step ahead thus being pro-active.
