Iso Country Code

Description: International organization for standardization, has given certain codes according to names of countries. For setting codes sometimes geographical arena of country is also taken care of. ISO country code is of various types, some are two letter country codes, and some are three letter codes. Codes are also divided on basis of these are numeric or alpha. ISO country code was for first time published in 1974. Later in 1981 codes with numeric values were published under ISO 3166. Since then codes have been further subdivide in to three parts to include names of former countries names, and other geographical divisions of country.
