Description: 'From the moment I first enjoyed music, I started creating music.' Born in the summer of 1987, J.T. Dale was raised in a small town and attended a small charter school near Dallas, TX. Thanks to his parents, J.T. was musically influenced by Genisis and Fleetwood Mac, along with many other late century artists. At age 15, he was persuaded to join the school band, thanks to a cute blond flute player and a tenacious band director. Excelling in music and eventually landing a chair in the All-Region Band, his parents showed support by purchasing his first drum set. At age 16, J.T. was given an acoustic guitar and started to lead music for a youth organization in Mesquite. He began to understand music as a true art form, less structured and more emotionally improvised. J.T. then joined the jazz combo during his senior year. After graduating, he attended jazz studies at Brookhaven College with hopes to become a band director. During his freshman year, he accepted an offer to teach music at the small school from where he graduated. J.T. tried to find a balance between teaching and studying music for 3 years and eventually found it. He quit both school and teaching. J.T. focused on renewing his creativity by combining simple chord progressions on the guitar with simple melodies. He was given a chance after developing his songs to perform live at coffee venue in Addison, TX. Now at age 23, J.T. performs at various music venues in Dallas including Dunn Bros Addison where he first played. Toils And Daggers, his debut album, is influenced by Fleetwood Mac and Coldplay. The album consists of him playing all of the instruments and singing on every track. The project will be released in May 2011.
