Description: Juan Ricardo Ramírez Posada Born in 1970 in Medellin, Colombia. From a young age he initiated his studies in art practice and aesthetics. While working as a creative director in a successful advertising firm, he began to develop and cultivate his interest in photography. Eventually the photographic image became his primary creative passion and mastering the technical aspects of the craft his goal. He immersed himself in all aspects of his craft during his tenure with his mentor Alberto Montoya. His artistic vision, coupled with his technical emphasis led him to become one of the most successful Colombian photographers working today. He is currently living and working in New York City.
