Description: Kule, boyu eninin en az bir kaç katı olan, herhangi bir yapı malzemesinden yapılmış yapıdır. Çoğunlukla kare veya silindir biçimindeki yüksek yapı anlamına gelen kule isminin aslı Arapça kulle kelimesinden gelmektedir. Uçları sivri olarak biten piramit şeklindeki yapılar yüksekliklerine rağmen kule olarak adlandırılmazlar. Kule kelimesinde daha çok bir kale lik anlamı aranmalıdır. Buna göre piramit ve ziggurat tipi yapıları kule olarak adlandıramayız.Kule,çok farklı amaçlar için birbirlerine benzer şekillerde günümüze kadar yapıla gelmiştir.
