Description: Led by former industry professionals, Making Headlines teaches elementary, middle school and high school students about journalism. We review established newspapers, speak on a range of topics--from plagiarism to the typical workday of a reporter and photographer--and offer hands-on workshops that sees students create their own newspaper (along the way they read newspapers, conduct interviews, take photographs, write and learn the importance of teamwork, responsibility, fairness and respect).
