Description: Formed in 2005, MECF is designed to work as a liaison with public law enforcement agencies and prosecutors, businesses,victims and other persons to reduce and prevent economic crimes. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) statistics show that financial crimes are among the fastest growing crimes in the nation. However, most jurisdictions do not have the ability to resolve the volume of these cases. The need for assistance in the prevention of financial crimes comes through dedicated support tools to law enforcement.
