Euro-Mediterranean Energy Market Integration Project (MED-EMIP)

Description: MED-EMIP stands for “Euro-Mediterranean Energy Market Integration Project”, financed by the European Commission, hosted by the Egyptian Government and executed by a consortium of GTZ-IS (Germany), OME (France), NEEDS (Lebanon) and Kuhbier (Belgium). Our 10 partner countries are all signatories of the Barcelona Declaration involved in the Euro-Mediterranean partnership and benefitting from the MEDA programme, which are: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Territories, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey. The MED-EMIP mandate may be best described as: being a catalyst of the reinforcement of Euro-Mediterranean partner countries energy co-operation with emphasis on enhancing energy security and sustainability.
