If you wish to help write lessons or expand this site, email a request with your background and brief history to: bharvey@nethercode.com I can add you into a module as a teacher and you can write on just one topic that you are knowledgeable about. You do not need to do the whole course for that module. The more contributors the better. Here you will learn to create 3D characters then create their Python script then render them out in MD2 format. Next, you will create your game engine in C++ and OpenGL. The next step will be to enhance your character and terrains with advanced graphics. Finally you will Network your game and have fun! All software used in this learning process will be free Open Source that you can download from the internet but you will be expected to respect the copyrights of each software provider. You will not need any books for these courses but we will post useful references for various books and resources. Mission statement set in stone and not changeable: 1) All creations must be from Open Source software. 2) Everything from this site is FREE. This means that if you put up an idea or graphic creation anyone visiting our site is free to use it in anyway they see fit. We are about the learning process of creating a MMORPG not the game itself. *Keep in mind that this refers to what we create on this site and not the reference materials we use, the open source software provided by their respective owners or any characters on loan to us for learning purposes.
