Polar Bond
Description: In the section about the polar bond we are going to take a look about the electro negativity and the polar covalent of the molecules. To determine the non-polar and the polar bond you have to know the electro negativity which is define as one who measures the attraction of atom for the electrons in a covalent bond. If you are going to say that the halogen elements consisting of chlorine, iodine, fluorine and the others have the highest level of electro negativities, then you are right even though they have to get one electron to reach the octet state. If you will go to observe the periodic table, you will see that the electro negativity is being consistent in manner in crossing both the column and the row lines. If the different atoms are considered as the covalent bond, the atom which has a highest electro negativity is going to attract the electrons that are being strong compare to the other atom. This one is called as the polar bond. In a bond, if there is a difference between the atoms where it increases the electro negativity, then there will be a polarity. If there will be more polar bond to be created then there will be more ionic to be done too. We all know that the sodium chloride which is NaCl in the chemical element or also known as the table salt is considered as ionic then the difference in the electro negativity of this is about 2.3. On the illustration shows how this covalent and also the polar become increase on its character where typically the bond which has a difference on their electro negativity is less than almost 1.7.
