Description: The South African Spectroscopic Society (SASS) is a non-profit organisation which was established in 1969, and arose out of the Spectroscopic Discussion Group which began five years earlier. The main objectives of the Society are to further the exchange of knowledge of spectroscopy by means of conferences, meetings and publications, and to promote research, study and the use and application of spectroscopy at universities, technikons, research laboratories and in industry.
