Sierra Journal
Description: Sierra Journal is a publication and Web community born of a passion for mountain climbing, backcountry skiing and wilderness travel in the Sierra Nevada. Created by Matthew DiPietro, Sierra Journal’s mission is to provide entertainment, information and inspiration in the form of trip reports, mountain adventure narratives, environmental news, local and national mountain-related news, gear reviews, and other outdoor tidbits. The site has a focus on the Sierra Nevada, but also covers other areas of the country (and the world) including the Rockies, Cascades, Andes and beyond. If you have a good trip report with photos, feel free to send it in and I’ll post it to the site. If you have a question about the Sierra, email me and I’ll try to answer it. Send me outdoor recreation and environmental news and esoterica and I’ll take a look. Better yet, head over to the Sierra Journal Forums and ask the community. Gear Review Policy Sierra Journal welcomes gear review submissions from outdoor gear and clothing companies. Gear selected for review will be subject to a thorough test at the hands of the Editor. Reviews are honest and authentic. Editorial integrity is a top priority. Submitting gear does not guarantee a published review, but the editor will make every effort to do so. To submit gear for review, simply email the editor at mjdipietro at gmail dot com. Sponsorship and Advertising Sierra Journal accepts sponsorships and advertising on a monthly basis. For pricing and details contact the editor at mjdipietro at gmail dot com. Contact Best way to get a hold of me, if you haven’t guessed, is to email the editor at mjdipietro at gmail dot com.
