Accordingly, these advances often induce great changes in human society. Among them, information processing technology, especially Virtual and Multimedia information technologies, which are currently attracting the attention of many people because of its considerable progress is expected to change human society extensively in the near future. To discuss these issues theoretically and technologically is the objective of the “International Society on Virtual Systems and MultiMedia(VSMM)”. This Society covers a very wide range of topics of interest, including not only pure technological issues but also mathematical, medical, agricultural, educational, psychological, artistic, social, and other issues related to virtual systems and multimedia information processing.
