Biodiesel (mono alkyl esters) is a cleaner-burning
diesel fuel made from natural, renewable sources such as vegetable oils.
Because it is renewable and domestically produced, biodiesel
fits well under the Energy Policy Act of 1992, which is in place to help
ensure national energy security through replacing imported petroleum products
with domestic alternative fuels.
