The French Centre for Research on Contemporary China (CEFC) is a publicly funded research institute, based in Hong Kong, where it was established in 1991. In 1994, a branch office was set up in Taipei. The CEFC’s mission is to observe and analyze the political, economic, social and cultural developments in the People’s Republic of China. Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
Every semester, it publishes China Perspectives (and its French-language sister publication Perspectives Chinoises), a quarterly journal entirely dedicated to the study of the contemporary Chinese world.
