#573369. The Wrights: Home
The Wrights, a husband-and-wife team made up of Adam and Shannon Wright, first met in January 1998. The two got their feet wet for several years playing in all kinds of music, in all kinds of clubs in the Atlanta scene. They played acoustic sets, recruited a band, booked their own shows, oh...and somewhere in there fell in love with each other and country music. Adam and Shannon got married and moved to Nashville in 2002. They were signed to ACR Records owned by Alan Jackson. Keith Stegall and John Kelton produced The Wrights' critically acclaimed debut album, Down This Road which was released through RCA in 2005. Adam and Shannon wrote the entire album. In addition to writing songs for themselves they had two songs recorded by Jackson on his 2004 release What I Do. Adam and Shannon also co-wrote a song with legendary songwriter Paul Kennerly that appeared on Solomon Burke's album Nashville, produced by Buddy Miller. The Wrights are currently touring, writing and recording. A new self-titled release is scheduled for November 2007.
