#577269. NorthbayHikes - Sonoma County and Santa Rosa Hiking
Northbay Hikes is a hiking and outdoor activity group in Sonoma County, California. This is a free, non-profit, volunteer led group, and we hike 2-4 times a month. All invites are sent by email, only yes replies are needed. We have several leaders with a variety of hikes and preferences. We hike primarily in Sonoma County, Marin County, and Napa County, with some excursions to Lake County and as far south as Monterrey and Big Sur. Coastal hikes are great during the hot days of summer and wildflower season. We enjoy Point Reyes, Mount Tam, Stinson Beach, Bodega Bay through Jenner [Kortum Trail, Pomo Canyon, many beaches], and further north to Fort Ross and Salt Point. On colder days, we tend to hike more inland to places such as Hood Mountain, Jack London, Annadel, Palisades, Mount Saint Helena, Shiloh, and Lake Sonoma. There are many other favorites inbetween, such as Helen Putnam Regional park [Petaluma], Armstrong Redwoods, Austin Creek, Ragle Ranch, Angel Island, Smauel P Taylor, Muir Woods, and Cobb mountain.
