Commemorating 50 Years in Exile - India International Centre, Department of Information and International Relations and Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama are proud to host a five-day festival to commemorate 50 years of exile of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan refugees. During these 50 years, because of inspiring leadership provided by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and hard work and dedication of the Tibetan refugees, the Tibetans have made wonderful strides in the fields of education, cultural preservation, community-building and in preserving the basic identity of the Tibetan people. All this is accomplished because of the generosity and hospitality of the government and the people of India.
