The Monterey Institute for Technology and Education is an educational non-profit organization committed to improving access to education. MITE (pronounced 'mighty') sponsors a range of projects from establishing development standards and specifications for online courses, to educational research and multimodal content development. Two of MITE's cornerstone projects are the National Repository of Online Courses and the Online Course Evaluation Project.
