#90390. State Appellate Defender Office and Criminal Defense Resource Center
The Criminal Defense Resource Center, formerly the Legal Resources Center, of Michigan's State Appellate Defender Office operates Criminal Defense Online, a support service for attorneys handling court-assigned cases for indigent defendants, at trial and appellate levels. The site provides unrestricted access to summaries of recent published Michigan Court of Appeals and Supreme Court decisions, full text of selected unpublished Michigan Court of Appeals decisions, recent issues of the Criminal Defense Newsletter, bulletins, a calendar of training events, addresses for Michigan jails, prisons, courts and prosecutors, names and addresses of criminal defense attorneys, links to other legal Web sites, and information about legal listservs and newsgroups. Also included is information about how to subscribe to SADO's Criminal Defense Newsletter, summaries service, and Defender Trial and Sentencing Books. The site also provides restricted access, limited to criminal defense attorneys taking court-appointed criminal cases, to a moderated discussion, or newsgroup, as well as a searchable database of opinion summaries, books, newsletters, briefs, motions, expert witnesses, and other material.
