The Somos Hermanos SIP aims to improve the quality of health care for Spanish-speaking and Latino patients in the U.S. by increasing the number of bilingual, culturally competent health care professionals in the U.S. The 6 month, Guatemala-based program involves intensive language and culture immersion, along with heavy participation in volunteer projects.
