Church of the Annunciation-Detroit, Michigan (1906).1906---The parish of the Annunciation was established in 1906. Rev. Jas. Stapleton, was the founder and the pastor. Annunciation parish was one of the most rapid growing congregations in Detroit at the time. The pupils attending the school numbered over four hundred. They were in the charge of the Sister-Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, of Monroe, Mich. Rev. Jas. Stapleton was assisted by the Rev. T.J. Bourke at the time.
