Banyan Images Aloha,I'm Zac Stayton, but some may know me as "Houston's Horticulture Hunk", a nickname given to me by the Houston Chronicle during the blooming of the infamous Corpse Flower, Lois. I am the Horticulturist for the Cockrell Butterfly Center at The Houston Museum of Natural Science, I spend my day taking care of the hundreds of tropical plants and thousands of exotic butterflies in the rainforest of the butterfly center. When I'm not taking care of rare plants and butterflies, I'm snapping photos.I first started taking a camera along with me on hikes in college to help memorize the names of all the plants I saw, after that I was hooked, I couldn't put the camera down. I've had my photography used by the Houston Chronicle, the Dashing Diplodocus, the HMNS blog, Newton Nursery (a Houston area plant wholesaler), and a collection of over 40 of my photographs were on display at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in 2010.This site showcases photography from my early adventures studying plants in Costa Rica and Hawaii to the latest and greatest butterfly pictures. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.Mahalo, for stopping by the site!Follow me on Twitter @hortzac Banyanimages.com~Site InfoWhoisTrace RouteRBL Check
