biancoenero's Photos | SmugMug I can’t remember a time when I didn’t own a camera that I loved. Photography has been an essential part of my life both as a avid hobby and a requirement of my career. However, my time behind the lens as opposed to in front was limited to weekends, travels and special events. As the head of marketing for many Fortune 500 companies, I began to resent photo shoots. Whether enlisting other professionals to shoot a commercial, company people or our next big advertisement – I resented the person behind the lens. Then during a shoot for our Fall ad campaign in happened - my aha moment occurred. Instead of resenting what the photographer was getting to do, I asked him for his camera and took over the shoot. An hour later I had completed both an amazing advert and resignation letter. I said yes to my passion, registered for school to perfect my passion and kissed my career as a six-figure, marketing c-level goodbye without ever looking back.Bianco e Nero is a lifelong dream come true. It encompasses my ability to see beyond those traditionally posed and captured moments by delivering journal of photographs that tell a story, with a beginning, middle, and end. You won’t see a list of with a fancy list of “who’s who” or “as seen in” on my bio, unless you dig into my prior marketing career.
