Soup Kitchen Inc., Benton Harbor Michigan Soup Kitchen Inc. (the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen) began operations on March 8, 1980 serving three meals a week. The Soup Kitchen, an independent non-profit corporation, now serves a healthy noon-time meal every day of the year. Over 6,000 meals were served last year.
The Soup Kitchen is staffed by volunteers from churches, clubs, businesses and schools who prepare and serve the meals. Most groups also purchase most or all of the food for their meal. The Soup Kitchen has strong support from hundreds of generous individuals, churches, organizations, and companies who are committed to taking care of those in need in our community.
Your support is vital to the Soup Kitchen. No client pays anything for Soup Kitchen services or help.
