Indosow INDOSOW is an innovate programme and a project which offers an opportunity for the postgraduate students to get enrolled into international study emphasising comparative, interdisciplinary and explorative research of differences and commonalities in social welfare, policy and welfare regimes in different European regions and beyond. It seeks to complement the objectives of education, accumulating knowledge and training for practice, with those of social work, policy and welfare: social justice, inclusion, anti-discriminatory action, self-determination and agency. Following lessons from social work, it aims to establish a network in order to build an international community of academics, practitioners, users, carers, both as a source of pertinent reflective knowledge and a foundation for good practice. INDOSOW encourages participatory, comparative, interdisciplinary and joint research of all stakeholders in the domain of social work, welfare and social policy who want to contribute to such research in social sciences which promote human justice and human rights.
International doctoral studies in social work - INDOSOW are founded by a European network of five schools of social work with an outstanding record of joint international academic cooperation: University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Work, Slovenia; Alice-Salomon Fachhochschule für Sozialarbeit und Sozialpädagogik, Berlin, Germany; Faculty of Health and Social Care, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK and Institute of Applied Social Studies, University of Birmingham, UK, and Fachhochschule St. Pölten, Gmbh, Austria.
