alna niking! is an invitation to come to Abene, West Africa, and learn traditional African percussions and dance as well as experience the way of life and culture of people in Casamance, South of Senegal. alna niking! is also a way to promote the music of different ethnic groups living together in the village who perform every year at Abene's festival and celebrate the multi-ethnicity of Senegal and its various traditional artforms. alnaniking uk is a London-based not-for-profit arts organisation dedicated to providing arts education through workshops and performance, primarily focusing on traditional West African music and dance. Resident group Sabari perform and teach traditional rhythms, songs and dances drawn from the traditional musical heritage of Guinea, Senegal, Gambia, Mali, and Burkina Faso using a wide variety of authentic acoustic instruments.
