Rocky Maffit | Percussionist | Composer | Educator Rocky Maffit is a percussionist, composer and educator. He has been playing professionally since high school and signed his first recording contract at age 19 with Rick Jarrad (who produced Nilsson, Jefferson Airplane and Jose Feliciano. In the early 80's Rocky joined the R&B group Champaign which signed with Columbia Records. In 1999 his first book Rhythm & Beauty The Art of Percussion was published by Watson Guptill. Since then Rocky has performed with orchestras and in a variety of solo, duet and group settings. His new album Everytown will be released in late August of 2003.
