Ellen Garvens Ellen Garvens has been working with mixed media for over 20 years. Her use of materials includes stone, glass, metal, photography, graphite, paper, and found objects. She approaches her work with an interest in mortality, the body, preservation, medical science and natural history. Continually blurring the boundaries between materials and between two and three dimensions has resulted in works that question what and how we see.
