NOBUHIRA NARUMI Since 2001, Nobuhira Narumi has been developing a series of paintings called “Universe’s point of view.” It is an attempt to re-acknowledge the world by showing a third-person's perspective other from his as the motif of the painting. The“dog's point of view”series has been its core project of nearly 10 years. Why dogs, you may ask — It is because he was simply interested in the viewpoints of dogs who gave up living in the wilderness, and started watching humans’ world alongside us since the ancient times as early as about 15,000 years ago up until the present, and because he found the images in their eyes as an effective metaphor that allows viewers to catch and be possessed by“the other world”that exists outside their ego.
