iris up close Each spring brings a dazzling cornucopia of flowers to the Northwest. Tulips, narcissus, peonies and iris carpet the Willamette Valley – it is a fabulous sight! While all of the flowers are lovely, it is the iris that captivate me the most with splendid colors, amazing variety, and marvelous, sensual, shapes. With my small point and shoot camera I am able to get up close, even inside the flower, to see where the parts join and connect, how they emerge.
