SHANA Shana Kent is an Associate Producer and Assistant Editor working in film & television in New York City. After graduating from Vassar College in 2006 with a degree in Africana Studies and a correlate in Music, Shana spent a year in the doctoral program for American Studies at the University of Maryland, before realizing that she wanted to spend as much time creating media as she did writing about it. She went on to complete a Masters program in Television, Radio and Film at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.Shana's production career began at MTV, where she helped produce movie promos and a series for MTV Mobile before becoming Associate Producer for VH1 Rock Doc Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America. After Assistant Editing PBS's LennonNYC, an American Masters film about John Lennon, she returned to VH1 where she is currently working on Behind the Music.
