Home Page In February of 1983, Jeanine Nicarico, a ten-year old from DuPage County, a western suburb of Chicago, was abducted from her home, raped and murdered. A year later, Rolando Cruz, Alejandro hernandez and stephen buckley were indicted despite the lack of physical evidence against them. In the spring of 1991, a group of Latino and religious leaders came together and formed the Coalition for Justice to advocate for the innocence of Rolando Cruz and Alex Hernandez.
