The Lichfield Society of Artists was formed in 1945 by local artist, Alfred Pochin and a small group of leisure painters, who wanted to paint and learn together in a social atmosphere. The Society has now grown to over 250 members and continues to provide a focus for artists and craftsmen of all abilities, to share their successes, difficulties and experiences; and to gain encouragement and confidence in their artistic endeavors.
