Welcome to the Manipulation Under Anesthesia Website Manipulation under anesthesia is a technique that was originated in the 1930’s and has been shown to help alleviate patients with chronic pain. Patients are placed in a “twilight sleep” so that the spine can bemanipulated while the patient is in a relaxed state.Dr. Scheiner of Walk-In Chiropractic has performed this procedure on many patients. He is currently affiliated with Upper Bay Surgery Center in Elkton, Md. Prior to having the procedure done, the patient will have to be cleared by a medical physician for surgery.
