Jason Marsalis :: Official Site Jason Marsalis is the youngest son of Ellis, patriarch of the Marsalis musical family legacy including Wynton, Branford and Delfeatyo. Jason is considered by many to be the most talented member of the family unit and is known for his excellent drumming and percussion skills. Jason regularly plays with his father at Snug Harbor in New Orleans and on tour with the Marcus Roberts Trio, John Ellis, Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers, Shannon Powell, Dr. Michael White, Casa Samba, Dave Badie and was an original member of Los Hombres Calientes with Bill Summers and Irvin Mayfield.
