Rockscar films - website of filmmaker and editor Peter Matsoukas based in New York and Chicago. Peter Matsoukas is a screenwriter, filmmaker, videographer & editor based in New York and Chicago. He started in 1998 when he interned for Roger Corman at Concorde/New Horizons in Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999. After graduation, he worked in production as a production assistant and in the camera department on independent and studio films in New York. He then wrote and directed two low-budget, neo-noir features BAD NIGHT (2002) and THE INTERSECTION (2005). In 2005, he met horror auteur Douglas Buck and a year later he travelled to Vancouver to work on Doug’s remake of Brian DePalma’s SISTERS. Peter shot the behind the scenes documentary. He then went on to make behind the scenes documentaries for Larry Fessenden’s THE LAST WINTER and Glenn McQuaid’s I SELL THE DEAD.
