The Frank Jackson Big Band - Official Website The Frank Jackson Big Band is a 15 member ensemble of accomplished musicians who are highly regarded for their musical talents. Led by gifted musician, composer and arranger Frank E. Jackson, Sr., the band of area artists is defined by it's distinctive style and modern day sound. The ensemble includes: (3) trumpets; (3) trombones; (5) saxophones -- two altos, two tenors and a baritone; and a rhythm section consisting of bass, drums, guitar and piano. Besides showcasing some of the area's finest soloists, the ensemble features Anita Mooreland, one of Philadelphia's top female 2nd tenor saxophonists and a vocalist who doubles on the 2nd alto and baritone saxaphones.
