Tony Srouji Tony Srouji born in 1962 (Lebanon). Canadian contemporary composer and Jazz Guitarist. Srouji is a Canadian citizen, and has been residing in Montreal since 1976. Tony Srouji started playing guitar at the tender age of 8 years old. In 1980-83 he studied Jazz guitar with Tony Romandini. In 1983-84 he attended Concordia University, where he studied composition with Alan Crossman, guitar and Jazz arranging with Fred Hamilton. He also studied electroacoustic music with Kevin Austin. While at Concordia, he studied guitar with Neil Smolar (1985-87). In 1987 he received his Bachelor degree in music composition. In 1988-89 he studied composition and orchestration with Marian Borkowski. He then continued his education at University of Montreal studying composition and orchestration with Michel Longtin (1989-92). Sroujis Musical LanguageTony Srouji has, since 1987, become a composer of mainly Orchestral, Chamber and Jazz music. Sroujis music is in the French modernist camp with hints of Messiaen and Auric, particularly in a chamber piece called Couleurs Lumineuses (1990). Despite this, classical tempi are present as is the considerable impressionistic and synaesthetic influence of Debussy. One should not entirely abandon tradition. Nathan Cork is principal of the Los Angeles-based multi-disciplinary design firm Cork Design. Before starting Cork Design in 2008, Nathan worked at OJMR Architects and for Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer and Associates (now Pfeiffer Partners Architects). At HHPA Nathan focused his time analyzing and developing spatial concepts for performance spaces, libraries, student housing, and campus projects. As an associate and designer at OJMR, Nathan worked on several single-family, multi-family and mixed-use developments. Nathan has also managed construction for several single-family residential projects. After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California in 2002, Nathan also pursued a degree in Real Estate at UCLA and holds a Real Estate Salesperson's License. This education has enabled him to pursue his interests in investments, construction finance, master planning and community developments. Nathan specializes in modern, innovative, sustainable architecture and design.
