2/2nd Pioneer Battalion The 2/2 Pioneer Battalion fought in World War 2 at Fort Merdjayoun and Damour in Syria; Leuwiliang and Tjampea in Java; Lae, Ramu Valley and Shaggy Ridge in New Guinea; Tarakan Island and Balikpapan in Borneo.
