www.accosca.org The origin of ACCOSCA stems from the need to promote co-operative movements in Africa from 1960s and later got registered (1968) in Kenya. At that time it entered into collaborations with development agency such as United States Agency for International Development (U.S.A.I.D), Conrad Advernner Foundation among others partnered with the umbrella of World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU). The confederation is an independent non political organization and has preserved its conceptual, philosophical, sociological and financial independence and always will practice neutrality thereby allowing people offering different opinion to meet and act in common. Kenpipe Sacco Ltd. Kenpipe SACCO was started in 1981 as a welfare organisation, drawing its membership from amongst the staff of Kenya Pipeline Company Limited. Since its inception, Kenpipe SACCO has grown to become one of the biggest SACCOs in Kenya. By December 2007, the SACCO had a membership of 1390 persons with a share capital and deposits of Kshs. 635.4 million.
